Advanced Hebrew Readings
LANG 721
Course Description
As a readings course, students will be afforded the opportunity to read extensively within the Old Testament canon, in order to acquire greater ease with biblical Hebrew comprehension. As an advanced course, following on from Intermediate Hebrew, students will be challenged to rise to a greater level of precision with respect to grammatical and syntactical apprehension, text-critical engagement, and derivative exegetical insights. After the pre-requisite two full years of Hebrew language study, this course offers students the space and accountability to enjoy the hard-earned freedom to read any Old Testament Hebrew text in great depth for theological enrichment and spiritual formation.
