Guest Tickets
- Graduating students do not need a Convocation ticket but guests do.
- Tickets are free and distributed by the Chan Centre.
- We reserve a number of tickets for your families and friends. You can claim these tickets via a link that will be sent to you via email in the coming weeks.
- Please book no more than 7 tickets during this first round.
- After the initial ticket order deadline, all remaining tickets will be accessible to anyone online via www.rgnt.net/grad2026.
- Guests should arrive early at the Chan Centre (around 1:00 pm) to get good seats. There is no assigned seating.
Dress Code
- There is no strict dress code but most grads dress up.
- Note that you will be wearing a calf-length black graduation gown but not a cap. The gown does not have pockets.
- Those graduating with a degree will be hooded on stage, which involves kneeling and having the hood draped over your shoulders.
Valuables
- If you have any valuables (e.g., purse or wallet), we recommend that you ask your guests to watch the items for you during the ceremony.
- Note that while the Royal Bank Cinema Room will be locked during the ceremony, we cannot assume any responsibility for the loss of valuables left there.
Guests with Children
- Children are very welcome and encouraged to attend! However, please note that no childcare or children's programming is provided.
- Unfortunately, the Chan Centre cannot accommodate strollers. Children must also be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- If guests need to step outside of the concert hall, they can still follow the ceremony on the monitors in the reception area.
Parking
- There is paid parking at Rose Garden Parkade (6278 NW Marine Dr) next to the Chan Centre.
Photos
- Regent will have official photographers taking pictures during the Convocation ceremony. The photographers will attempt to photograph each graduate as you are given your diploma or hooded by the President, as well as take general shots of the ceremony and guests.
- Photos will be made available to graduates via a link at no charge a few weeks after the ceremony. You will be notified by email when the photos are ready to download.
- Audience members are asked to remain seated during the ceremony. Taking pictures, videotaping or presenting flowers during the ceremony are not allowed.
Livestream & Video Recording
- The ceremony will be photographed, live-streamed and recorded. If you have any safety concerns about being visible on camera, please reach out to Vivian at [email protected].
- A link to the livestream will be posted on the Regent Events page closer to the date. After the ceremony, we will also send out a link of the ceremony recording when it is ready.
Balloons & Confetti
- The Chan Centre prohibits helium balloons and confetti on their premises. Please let your guests know so that they can find other wonderful ways to celebrate with you!
