NT Book Study: 1 Corinthians
Course Description
Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians is a profound example of how theology and ethics cannot be divorced from each other. Rather, our ethics are a direct reflection of our theology. In this text, Paul tries to steer a church swinging between permissiveness and legalism onto the track of Christlikeness, and the model he teaches here has significant resonance to how we should work through issues of church community and Christian living in today’s world. This course will seek to immerse in the text, follow Paul’s logical and pastoral argument, and seek to understand through sound exegetical methods the relevance of Paul’s arguments to today.Offered | 2026 Winter |
